The Ensemble Generated Theatre Project (ages 14-18) focuses on advanced conservatory training in voice, movement, text, and performance through group process. This classwork then finds its practical application in the creation of an original, collaboratively devised piece of theatre, performed for the public at ArtsWest. Students will develop and utilize processes designed to generate images, ideas, and staging from the group through improvisation and exercises. Through this practice students will find innovative ways to explore and question the world around them and express their perceptions through the media of performance and theater.

The Ensemble Generated Theatre Project encourages students to engage with and think critically about the world in which they live, and empowers burgeoning student performers to think of themselves as creative artists in their own right.
