ArtsWest hosts Mother on Mic

A note from Producers Joanna Pawlowska and Leesha Mony,

“Join us for an open mic style evening of unfiltered and unpolished stories told on stage about the wild, raw, tender, hilarious, heartbreaking and often absurd ride that is mothering and being mothered.

You don’t have to be a mother to attend or share–having a mother is enough!

Bring your journals, group chats, voice memos, poems, essays, first drafts and works in progress.

We’ll laugh, cry, scream, breathe, howl — together! All stories are welcome in this space for those who identify as women and non binary.

Please limit your story to 5 minutes.

You can just come to listen, too. Please consider donating to help us cover operating costs at ArtsWest, who are generously hosting us.

Any remaining funds will be donated to Westside Baby.

Doors open at 6:30pm—we’ll start promptly at 7pm. See you there!”
