Nadia Blye is a glamorous American war correspondent-turned-academic who now teaches Political Studies at Yale. Haunted by memories of the Middle-East, she takes a brief holiday in Wales with her boyfriend to meet his father – a craggy, weathered English doctor battling personal demons from his own past. Sexual and political tensions immediately surface, sparking a dynamic, life-changing debate of ethics and power.
"Their verbal thrusts and parries are sexier than most graphic love scenes." ~ Seattle Times
Directed by Carol Roscoe (last season’s The Retreat From Moscow) this script passionately confronts the very questions that America faces approaching the 2008 elections.
THE VERTICAL HOUR features Annie Lareau, Kevin McKeon, John Ulman, Terra Jones, and Ben McFadden.
"Well acted and thought provoking." ~ Teen Tix
